Food Drive & Giving Tree

This year we will be combining the Food Drive and Giving Tree programs.  Briarwood will be "adopting" four families from the Issaquah area who are in need of holiday food and gifts.  The programs will run from November 17 to December 10.  Click HERE for more information.  Contact Myrriah Hayden, Celeste Balut, or Tiffany Malich with questions.

Legislative Roundtable

Region 2 PTA groups (Issaquah, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Lake Washington, Riverview, and Snoqualmie Valley) are sponsoring a Legislative Roundtable that will take place at Newcastle Elementary (8400 136th Avenue SW, Newcastle 98059) on November 20 at 7pm.  At this time, Fred Jarrett, Judy Clibborn, Ross Hunter, Rodney Tom, and Roger Goodman are confirmed attendees (there will be ample time for individual discussions with each).  Don't miss this opportunity to meet with your Representatives and Senators!

Wow!

The time for Reflections -- a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition -- is here!  This year's theme is "WOW!"  Entries are due at school by 2:40pm on November 24.  The school-level awards ceremony will take place on December 2.  Click HERE for a description of the program.  You can print an entry form by clicking HERE, or you can stop by the school office and get one there.  Entries are judged at the local level, district level, State level and, finally, at the National level.  Please contact our Reflections Chairperson, Merrily Kidwell, with any questions.
